Psalms 41 — Blessed Is He That Considereth the Poor
Blessed is he that considereth the poor: the Lord will deliver him in time of trouble. The Lord will preserve him, and keep him alive. The Lord will strengthen him upon the bed of languishing. I said, Lord, be merciful unto me: heal my soul. Yea, mine own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, which did eat of my bread, hath lifted up his heel against me. Blessed be the Lord God of Israel from everlasting, and to everlasting. Amen, and Amen.

Quoted by Christ in John 13:18 about Judas. The betrayal at the table was scripted by this verse.
A consolation for the betrayed believer. Christ Himself prayed this psalm under the same wound.
Verse 1 is a daily discipline. Consider the poor; the verb is thoughtful attention, not casual relief. The blessing returns.
Verse 9 was fulfilled at the Last Supper. Judas, who ate Christ's bread, lifted up his heel against Him. The psalm anticipated the betrayal.
Considereth the poor. The verb implies thoughtful attention, not just spare-change generosity.
A reciprocity. The one who considers the poor is delivered by God in his own time of trouble.
