धर्म-त्याग... अधर्म का पुरुष — अन्त के दिनों की दो घटनाएँ: व्यापक विश्वास-त्याग और अन्तिम विरोधी का प्रकटीकरण।

मन्दिर में परमेश्वर के स्थान पर बैठेगा — मसीह-विरोधी का केन्द्रीय पाप: ईश्वरत्व की लालसा। प्रकाशितवाक्य की जड़ यहीं है।

रोकनेवाला — विवादित। ऐतिहासिक रूप से रोमी साम्राज्य, पवित्र आत्मा, कलीसिया — विभिन्न व्याख्याएँ। स्पष्ट यह: कोई शक्ति अभी दुष्टता को पूरी तरह प्रकट होने से रोक रही है।

अपने मुँह की फूँक से मार डालेगा — मसीह की विजय की सरलता। कोई युद्ध नहीं; केवल उसका वचन।

Received not the love of the truth. A profound diagnosis. It was not that they did not hear truth, did not know it intellectually. They did not love it. Truth was offered; they refused to embrace it.

The gospel asks not just intellectual assent but heart love. The man who can argue the doctrines but does not love them is in the very position 2 Thessalonians 2:10 describes — at risk of receiving strong delusion.

A sobering verse. God Himself sends the delusion. When men refuse the truth, God does not protect them from believing lies. The judicial hardening of Romans 1:24-28 is the same principle.

Implication: the heart that refuses truth is not left to its own confusion. God actively assists the deception by withdrawing protection. The way to be preserved from being deceived is to maintain love of the truth.

परमेश्वर ने तुम्हें आदि से चुना — पास्टरीय सन्दर्भ में चुनाव का सिद्धान्त। तुम्हारी स्थिरता की गारण्टी तुम्हारा निर्णय नहीं, उसका चुनाव है।

Stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught. Apostolic teaching, whether oral (during Paul's visit) or written (his letters), was authoritative. The believer's task is to hold it.

In an age of constant theological reinvention, the command stands. The apostles' doctrine is not raw material to be reshaped; it is treasure to be guarded. Innovation in doctrine is not progress; it is drift toward the man of sin's system.
