Psalms 81 — Open Thy Mouth Wide, and I Will Fill It
Sing aloud unto God our strength. Open thy mouth wide, and I will fill it. But my people would not hearken to my voice. So I gave them up unto their own hearts' lust. Oh that my people had hearkened unto me. He should have fed them also with the finest of the wheat: and with honey out of the rock should I have satisfied thee.

God's lament. Oh that my people had hearkened. The verse pulls back the curtain on His grief over disobedience.
A tender side of judgment. He wishes the obedience that would have changed the story.
Verse 10 expands today's asking. Open wider. Whatever you have been asking timidly, ask largely. He waits to fill.
Christ's ministry was the wheat and honey for the hearkening (v.16). The chapter's offer is fulfilled in Him.
Open thy mouth wide. Ask largely. God's readiness exceeds our expectation; the limit is in the asking.
A check on small prayers. Open wider; the filling is His.
