Psalms 74 — O God, Why Hast Thou Cast Us Off For Ever?
Summary
O God, why hast thou cast us off for ever? Remember thy congregation. Lift up thy feet unto the perpetual desolations. Thine enemies roar in the midst of thy congregations. We see not our signs: there is no more any prophet. O God, how long shall the adversary reproach? For God is my King of old, working salvation in the midst of the earth. Arise, O God, plead thine own cause.

Application
Verse 12 is the long-view truth for the worst day. He is King of old. The kingdom predates the crisis.
Christ in this chapter
Christ is the King working salvation in the midst of the earth (Acts 4:12). The psalm's confession finds Him.

My King of old. The Lord has reigned long; current trouble does not unseat Him.
A perspective. The throne is older than the trouble.
