Psalms 43 — O Send Out Thy Light and Thy Truth
Judge me, O God, and plead my cause against an ungodly nation. Why hast thou cast me off? O send out thy light and thy truth: let them lead me; let them bring me unto thy holy hill, and to thy tabernacles. Then will I go unto the altar of God. Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope in God.

Verse 3 is a prayer for the lost. Ask God to send out His light and truth. They are personified guides; they will bring you home.
Christ is the light (John 8:12) and the truth (John 14:6). The two guides the psalm asks for arrive in one Person.
Two guides — light and truth. The first to see by; the second to navigate. Both are personified as agents.
