Romans 16 — To God Only Wise, Be Glory Through Jesus Christ For Ever
I commend unto you Phebe our sister. Greet Priscilla and Aquila. Greet Mary, who bestowed much labour on us. Greet Andronicus and Junia. Greet Apelles approved in Christ. Salute one another with an holy kiss. Mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them. The God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly. Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel... to God only wise, be glory through Jesus Christ for ever. Amen.

Bruise Satan under your feet. An echo of Genesis 3:15. The serpent will be crushed; the church will share in the crushing.
The verse is the gospel's end-state. The grand promise of Eden is being worked out through the Romans' obedience.
Of power to stablish you. God is the establisher. He has the power to make the believer stand firm. The Romans' final security is in His strength.
According to my gospel. The means by which He establishes. The gospel preached and believed is the instrument of stability.
The letter's closing doxology. Glory belongs to God only wise — through Jesus Christ.
The whole letter rests at Christ's feet at the end, as it began. He is the One through whom all glory reaches the Father.
Verses 25-27 close Romans the way every believer's life is to close — with glory to God through Jesus Christ. Stage your day around verse 27 as the destination. Whatever the events, the closing posture is doxology through Christ.
Romans ends with glory through Jesus Christ. The book that began separated unto the gospel of God... concerning his Son closes with glory through the same Son. Christ is the alpha and omega of Paul's letter to Rome — and of the believer's life shaped by it.
Mark them... and avoid them. The instructions for handling divisive teachers. Identify; do not associate with.
The verse balances Romans 14's welcome of the weak with Romans 16's firmness against the divisive. The weak in faith are received; the dividers in doctrine are avoided.
