Micah 2 — Woe to Them That Devise Iniquity
Woe to them that devise iniquity, and work evil upon their beds! when the morning is light, they practise it, because it is in the power of their hand. They covet fields, and take them by violence; and houses, and take them away. Therefore the Lord deviseth against this family an evil. Prophesy ye not. The Lord's words do good to him that walketh uprightly. I will surely assemble, O Jacob, all of thee. The breaker is come up before them; their king shall pass before them, and the Lord on the head of them.

The breaker. The One who breaks the way for His captive people. Messianic imagery — the deliverer leading the regathered out.
The Lord on the head of them. He goes before. The same God who descended in judgment leads His remnant home.
Verse 1 examines your nighttime imaginings. What you plan in private, you usually execute when opportunity opens. Sanctify the bed-thoughts; the morning will follow.
The Breaker who leads His people out is Christ, the Pioneer (Hebrews 6:20). The same Lord who walked before Israel through the wilderness walks before His church through the world.
Sin planned at night and executed at dawn. The deliberate, premeditated wickedness of those with power. The verse is sober reading for anyone with means.
Because it is in the power of their hand. The chief justification is opportunity. They do it because they can. The verse warns every age of capable wrongdoers.
