Hosea 8 — They Have Sown the Wind, and They Shall Reap the Whirlwind
Set the trumpet to thy mouth. Israel hath cast off the thing that is good: the enemy shall pursue him. They have made princes, and I knew it not. Thy calf, O Samaria, hath cast thee off; mine anger is kindled against them. For they have sown the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind. Israel is swallowed up. They are gone up to Assyria. Ephraim hath multiplied altars to sin.

Verse 7 is the verse against careless seeds. Whatever wind you are scattering now — small habits, casual sins — comes back later as wind multiplied. Stop sowing the wind.
Christ bore the whirlwind for those who had sown the wind. The cross took the storm that should have fallen on the sowers.
Sown the wind... reap the whirlwind. The proverb of multiplied consequences. Small foolishness grows into catastrophic harvest.
A spiritual law. The sin you sow casually returns in storm. The harvest is always larger than the seed.
