Psalms 66 — He Turned the Sea Into Dry Land
Make a joyful noise unto God, all ye lands. Come and see the works of God: he is terrible in his doing toward the children of men. He turned the sea into dry land. Bless our God, ye people. We went through fire and through water: but thou broughtest us out into a wealthy place. If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me: But verily God hath heard me; he hath attended to the voice of my prayer.

Regard iniquity in my heart. Cherish, hold on to. Not the presence of sin but the embrace of it.
A check on unanswered prayer. Sometimes the cherished sin is the closed channel.
Verse 18 is a diagnostic. If prayers feel unheard, examine — is there cherished sin? Confess it; the channel reopens.
Christ's blood removes the iniquity that would block prayer (1 John 1:7). The wealthy place is reached through His finished work.
Fire and water... wealthy place. The hardest passages led to abundance. The path was rough; the destination was rich.
A perspective for the suffering. The fire and water are not the end; the wealthy place is.
