Psalms 37 — Trust In the Lord, and Do Good
Fret not thyself because of evildoers. Trust in the Lord, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed. Delight thyself also in the Lord; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him. Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him. The meek shall inherit the earth. I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken. Depart from evil, and do good; and dwell for evermore.

Commit... trust... he shall bring it to pass. The pattern. The believer's part is committing and trusting; God's part is bringing about.
A verse for any major undertaking. Pray it as you start.
David's lifetime observation. Across years, the righteous are not forsaken.
A testimony for the elderly to pass to the young. The faithfulness of God is observable across decades.
Verses 3-5 are a four-fold discipline — trust, delight, commit, rest. Pray each one this week. The chapter's promises follow the practice.
Christ's delight was in the Father (Hebrews 10:7). The heart that delights in Him receives the desires that align with His.
Delight... and he shall give. The delight shapes the desires. The verse is not a wish-granting machine; it is a heart-aligning promise.
The desires of a heart that delights in God are the desires God gladly fulfills.
