Psalms 32 — Blessed Is He Whose Transgression Is Forgiven
Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. Blessed is the man unto whom the Lord imputeth not iniquity. When I kept silence, my bones waxed old. I acknowledged my sin unto thee, and mine iniquity have I not hid. I said, I will confess my transgressions unto the Lord; and thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin. Thou art my hiding place. I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.

A pattern for confession. Honesty before God; relief from God.
Verse 5 is the prayer for the burdened conscience. Acknowledge; do not hide; confess. The relief is real and immediate.
The forgiveness of v.1 flows through Christ's blood. The blessedness of the psalm is the gospel's promise.
Paul quotes this in Romans 4:7-8 as the doctrine of imputed righteousness. The blessedness is not earned; it is given.
Sin is covered. The blood of Christ covers; the believer is hidden under it.
